Madrasah

Alhamdulillah we have established 2 Madrasahs with the mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’alaah and the sincere support of the Ulama, Hufaaz and teachers. The two Madrasahs accommodate over 100 students.

The morning Madrasah has 2 classes, which starts at 8:00 am and ends at 8:45 am. One class is made of Primary school students (boys & girls) and the other for Secondary boys only.

Classes 1 & 2 are taught Quran lessons that adhere to the teaching of Tajweed from the Noorani Qaidah (Correct pronunciation of the Arabic alphabet). Students learn how to pray the Quran in Arabic and those that have completed Nazira (recitation) memorise the Holy Quran by heart Alhumdulilah.

The evening Madrasah starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. A total of 4 classes run in the evening.

  • Class 1 is made up of boys only from the age of 5 – 8. The boys are taught Tajweed from the Noorani Qaidhas and Ahsanal Qawaid.
  • Class 2 is made up of boys only from the ages of 8 - 14. The boys are taught the 30th Juz (Amma Para) from the Holy Quran and the (Nazira) recitation of the complete Holy Quran.  Modern foreign languages such as Arabic and Urdu are also taught, Alhumdulilah.
  • Class 3 is made up of children from the age of 4 – 7 (Boys & girls). The children are taught Tajweed from the Noorani Qaidhas and Ahsanal Qawaid.
  • Class 4 is made up of girls only from the ages of 8 – 14 taught by an Aalimah. The girls are taught the 30th Juz (Amma Para) from the Holy Quran and the (Nazira) recitation of the complete Holy Quran.  Modern foreign languages such as Arabic and Urdu are also taught, Alhumdulilah.

In both the morning and evening Madrasahs, there are also lessons in learning the 5 main principles of Islam, Tahara (purity and cleanliness) from texts such as Tasheel sets from Jamiatul Ulaama in South Africa, Iqra sets in Islamic Studies, Taleemul Haq, Kalimas 1- 7, Surahs from 30th Juz (chapter) of the Holy Quran and masnoon duas (40 essential duas).

Islamic values, morals are also taught according to the Sunnah to support the pupils to live their daily lives according to the Quran and Sunnah.

The children benefit from having activity sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays.  The boys play football etc and the girls play hockey and netball etc.  We feel children should have fun attending Madrasah, where an environment has been created not only to learn about Islam but enjoy Physical education within the boundaries set by the Islamic Shariah, inshaallah.
